Windows 10 Insider Preview Build 15019 Brings New Features Including A New Game Mode For Opimized Gaming
Ceage SottoMicrosoft's Windows 10 Insider Preview Build 15019 will be released on Friday. The company announced the update ahead of the upcoming Creators update. The new OS version will have a built-in game mode option and added features to the company's internet browser, Edge.
The upcoming update will bring in a new game mode template to optimize gaming experience. It will also include in-game streaming via Beam.
According to Xbox Wire, PC games will get their own dedicated settings section. Th option will allow users to tune their PCs in their own preference.
Windows 10 Game Mode
Users can access the new mode in the settings page. The new interface will include an all-new Gaming section that can be accessed via the Xbox logo.
The submenu will enable users to access several tabs. Game enthusiasts will be able to tweak their rigs by the tweaking Game Mode tab. Other tabs include personalization options including the Game bar, GameDVR, and streaming options.
The company previously stated that the new mode optimizes Windows 10 for gaming. It automatically detects a user's PC components to deliver the best experience possible.
Users must first enable Game Mode on the Gaming Settings page. The feature can be accessed by bringing up the Game Bar with a hotkey shortcut (Windows + G) during a game.
The game bar also has a built-in streaming via Beam and supports title's that have toolbar functions. Gamer's only need to prompt the Game Bar to set up recording and live broadcasts.
Other Features Of Windows 10 Insider Preview Build 15019
The new update will also feature several upgrades to Microsoft's Edge browser. It now has an e-book read aloud support that users can access through a button in the upper right corner of the browser.
So far the company stated the new feature will support EPUB files opened with Edge. However, Microsoft gave no word on other formats like PDF and MOBI.
The browser will have a revamped full-color interface. It will also include redesigned Emojis on websites that use the messaging icons.
Build 15019 also includes a set of new privacy Settings that users can turn on or off including Location. Microsoft OS owners can also tweak other privacy options like Speech recognition, Diagnostics, and Relevant ads. You can check out the full features on Microsoft's official website.
