'Pokemon Sun And Moon' Mega Stones: How To Acquire Them? Beedrillite And Mawilite Up For Grabs Next Month [VIDEO]
Vinay Patel"Pokemon Sun And Moon" took the video gaming realm by storm when it arrived in November last year. However, it didn't take too long for fans to figure out that the lauded RPG was not spared from flaws.
There are hardly any Mega Stones up for grabs after the story was completed. But fret not; the internet is rife with "Pokemon Sun And Moon" guides that show exactly how avid gamers can get their hands on Mega Stones. Let us check out how these Stones can be obtained.
Much to the delight of "Pokemon Sun And Moon" players, The Pokemon Company recently announced that the coveted Stones will be shelled out in the form of gifts for "Pokemon Sun" and "Pokemon Moon" online contests.
Beedrillite and Mawilite will be handed out as an entry gift for the aforesaid online competition that kicks off late February, according to Serebii. The company confirmed that rest of the missing Mega Stones will be dished out in a similar manner.
Beedrillite and Mawilite will be firing up Beedrill and Mawile, which are basically those two Pokemon that were not really practicable until the advent of their Mega Evolutions.
It is imperative for "Pokemon Sun And Moon" players to bear in mind that Mega Stones are not legal in the current online competitions and in the official Pokemon VGC format. Nevertheless, they are quite favored when it comes to online battles as they give trainers an edge over their opponents.
Mega Stones are evolutionary stones that enable a slew of Pokemon to acquire their final forms in the game. This can either be for one-evolution families or second/true final form for branch-evolution families.
In order to identify the Mega Stone, the player must look at the "-ite" or "-nite" before its Pokemon name. For instance, Blaziken's Mega is dubbed as Blaziken-"ite," while Lucario's Mega Stone, on the other hand, is known as Lucario-"nite," according to VideoGamersRepublic.
While "Pokemon Sun And Moon" players were able to purchase Mega Stones in the post-game in the Battle Tree shop, several other Mega Stones were still not up for grabs in the Gen 7 games. Moreover, quite a few Pokemon including Pidgeot, Steelix, Sceptile, Blaziken, Swampert, Camerupt and more do not have their Mega Stones even now. However, they are slated to appear in "Pokemon Sun And Moon" eventually.
With the Alola Friendly winding up, the next online competition will be made public in near future. Stay tuned in here for more "Pokemon Sun And Moon" news and updates.
