Spoilers for"Teen Wolf" season 6 dig deeper into Stiles and Lydia's relationship. Fans of the hit TV series were presented with the characters' romantic past, but the midseason finale is all about their future.

"We knew this season was going to be our last, so we were like, 'Let's go for it. "We thought, 'Let's finally see what it's like," executive producer Jeff Davis said in his interview with TVLine. The EP was referring to the decision to have Lydia confront her feelings for Stiles.

"Maybe they're stumbling towards romantic love, or maybe it blows up in their face after the first month and they say, 'Screw it. Let's just be friends,'" Davis added. The answers, hopefully, will be brought on to fans of "Teen Wolf" season 6 in the next episode.

Meanwhile, the previous episode saw Scott and Malia failing to bring Stiles back into existence by latching onto their tangible memories of him. They almost made it; but it wasn't until Lydia stepped up to the plate that fans finally saw the outcome.

Lydia, on the other hand, sent viewers into a frenzy during her search for Stiles in her subconscious. Last week's episode of "Teen Wolf" season 6 saw Lydia recall the school formal from season 1, in which Scott asked her to dance with him. A recap of season 3 episode 11 became a crucial part of Lydia's trip to Memory Lane, where she kissed Stiles to stop his panic attack.

"Teen Wolf" season 6 has been quite emotional so far, even more so when Lydia declared that everything changed when she kissed Stiles. Lydia then remembered she was the last to see him physically before he was taken.

What's to become of our beloved "Stydia" will be revealed on the next episode of "Teen Wolf" season 6. The show airs Thursday nights on the MTV channel.
