Details about a hacking incident that occurred two years ago on two of the most used gaming forums has just surfaced. According to reports, both XBOX 360 ISO and PSP ISO were breached in September 2015. Hacking has been a sensitive issue especially these days. The prevalence of ransomware and other scams that breaches the privacy of individuals have caused people to be always careful about what they share on the internet.

Last year, the information of billions of Yahoo users were compromised. Though the company claimed that the attack only reached 500 million of its users, reports suggest that over three billion of its users were affected.

Now, details about a hacking incident that could have probably leaked the private information of over 2.5 million individuals has just surfaced. The reported breach happened in September 2015. According to MailOnline, XBOX360 ISO and PSP ISO were both targeted by hackers in September 2015. The report suggests that the personal details of the 2.5 million users of the video game forums were leaked at that time.

The PSP ISO and XBOX 360 ISO hacking is a cause for concern. However, what is more alarming is the fact that the hacking incident took place two years ago and details about it have only come out now. Hackers may have already used the information from the PSP ISO and XBOX 360 ISO hack to cause harm to the two forums' unsuspecting users. It is only recently that the two forums advised their users to change their passwords.

In an interview with MailOnline, security expert Troy Hunt said that hackers often sell the information they get to dark web sites or within closed trading circles. Hunt also discussed the dangers of password reuse.

Using same passwords in every online registration is quite dangerous. According to Hunt, the reuse of password means a relatively harmless site may hold information that can be used by hackers to unlock a user's email or social media account.
