Samsung Galaxy Tab S3 & Galaxy S8 Update: Samsung’s MWC 2017 Invite Shows Mysterious Product Outline & Lacks ‘Unpacked’ Branding
Ritwik RoyIf latest reports are to be believed, Samsung has sent out press invites for an event on Feb. 26, scheduled to be held at the Mobile World Congress 2017 in Barcelona, Spain. The invite shows the upper outline of a mysterious product, which is believed not to be the Galaxy S8 but a tablet. In fact, the invite appears to hint at a device with similar dimensions as a tablet. However, it is unclear what Samsung is hinting. However, another Samsung product that is widely-anticipated is the Galaxy Tab S3. Could this be the Tab S3 everyone is looking for?
According to Business Insider Australia, Samsung, when releasing any Galaxy smartphone, always sends invites with the tell-tale "Unpacked" branding. The MWC 2017 invite from Samsung lacks this. The glaring omission has fuelled speculation that Galaxy S8 release could be delayed, mainly because Samsung is taking time to ensure nothing goes wrong after the Galaxy Note 7 disaster. There are reports suggesting that Samsung will release the Galaxy S8 flagship on March 29. This comes from well-known tipster Evan Blass.
The teaser image shared by Samsung on the invite shows a physical Home button below the display and appears very similar to a Galaxy Tab S2. As per Gadgets 360, a leak has revealed specs of the anticipated Samsung Galaxy Tab S3. The upcoming tab may feature a 9.7-inch display with a screen resolution of 2,048 x 1,536 pixels. It could run on Android Nougat OS out-of-the-box, have 4GB RAM and a Qualcomm Snapdragon 820 processor. The tab is expected to be 5.6mm thick and may come in both Wi-Fi and LTE models.
The Samsung Galaxy Tab S3 is expected to sport a 12MP primary camera and could cost around $600. Stay tuned on Mobile & Apps for more updates on the Galaxy Tab S3 and the mystery product teaser on Samsung's MWC 2017 invite.
