Trophy List For ‘Nioh’ Revealed Ahead Of Launch With One Platinum Up For The Taking; Review Embargo Lifts Today
Arianne GiftOpen Critic is scheduled to lift the review embargo for Team Ninja's samurai RPG "Nioh" today, at 12am PT / 3am ET. The official trophy list for the game has also been revealed ahead of its release, following the announcement of its download size, which is 39.3GB.
Seen first on Exophase, the list has a total of 47 digital accolades, including the most wanted Platinum, two Golds, 10 Silvers and 34 Bronzes. Unless players consider chapter titles as spoilers, there aren't many story details spilled in the official trophy list for "Nioh."
Review copies for "Nioh" have already been distributed to the media, which is how its download size was revealed. However, players only need 12GB to begin the game, PlayStation Lifestyle reported.
For fans who have pre-ordered "Nioh," pre-loading will start a couple of days before the official launch. The US PlayStation Store indicates that it will unlock at 1:32 am ET on February 7. North America players will get a Bloody Grave Dynamic Theme and an in-game Nioh Armour, inspired by the ancient statues that serve as temple guards in Japan. Post launch, Team Ninja will release three huge pieces of DLC that will introduce new quests and new enemies.
"Nioh" has already made its way to retail, as it was announced via the game's Japanese Twitter account last month that it has achieved "Gold" status. This means that game has completed its development phase and is up and ready to be sent off to the manufacturer ahead of release.
"Nioh" will be released February 7 in North America, February 8 in Europe and February 9 in Japan, exclusively for PlayStation 4. The game is published by Koei Tecmo in Japan while Sony Interactive Entertainment is handling international publishing duties.
