'Final Fantasy XV' Chapter 13 Update Finally out on March 28 Alongside Episode Gladio; Fresh Controls With Gladio-Like Action Will Arrive Too
Coco DollangangerSquare Enix has confirmed that the "Final Fantasy XV" Chapter 13 will be out via an update on March 28 and this was announced by the game's director Hajime Tabata during the most recent Active Time Report stream. After a few weeks of its release, the game has earned critical reception and its sales performance is indeed good but Chapter 13 is the part of the game that players like less.
According to GameSpot, "Final Fantasy XV" Chapter 13 shifted from open-world to linear format and it appears to have glossed over a few significant narrative threads without straying into spoiler territory. The divisive chapter has departed from the bulk of the game and many fans have suggested that it's a detraction from the overall experience.
Fans have also speculated that Chapter 13 has been rushed by Square Enix but Tabata has said before that it is not the case since it's a decision that has been premeditated by the development team. "That said, the amount of stress inflicted on the player while running through this chapter was greater than we had anticipated," he told US Gamer. "We believe resolving this issue will naturally lead to a better gameplay experience."
"Final Fantasy XV" Chapter 13 sees Noctis being separated from his group, trapped in a maze and has been stripped of most of his useful abilities. Instead of enjoying the role-playing road trip, players were compelled to cautiously elude the robots in a labyrinth of murky corridors.
"Final Fantasy XV" Chapter 13 update will be out along with Episode Gladio, which is an original episode that reveals from Gladio's perspective who was not a playable character in the game's main story. Additionally, it will also have fresh controls with Gladio-like action, which is different from Noctis.
Square Enix also confirmed the update for Feb. 21, which will include several new features and content. It will also bring support to PlayStation Pro allowing "Final Fantasy XV" to run at 60 fps, add limited time quests, increase the level cap to 120, raise the number or photos that fans can take and listen to music while riding Chocobos.
