Acclaimed developer Square Enix has confirmed "Kingdom Hearts 3" in development for years now. However, release date is not yet confirmed and game pundits are keeping a watchful eye if the highly anticipated JRPG will ever hit store shelves this year. The latest leak suggests otherwise and fans may not like to hear this recent news. 

This release date news for "Kingdom Hearts 3" is courtesy of Reddit user MaxialstarOA. The leaker also shared snippet of information about the upcoming title from Square Enix that were reportedly taken from a news writer in Spain. The source of these details is claimed to have also revealed a set of leaks in the past, which turned out to be true. 

If this report is to be believed, then fans will be seeing a release date that is beyond 2017 and it is now seen to launch in March next year. This is contrary to the general perception of the public that the final installment to the "Kingdom Hearts" series will arrive after April 2017 as indicated in last year's earnings call. 

The leak didn't stop there, however. It also added to reveal that the worlds and settings for "Kingdom Hearts 3" are far from being final, hence, these can go through some changes still. Other than that, game director Tetsuya Nomura is reportedly considering to rediscover worlds from the first KH title that was initially made available to older consoles, PlayStation 2, PlayStation 3 and Nintendo DS. 

Reddit user Jose_Strife is said to be behind this leak wherein he shared this set of details in Spanish via his Twitter account. He did claim that the information was provided a "verified source" and added to say that what the "source" tipped before came out to be true. But he doesn't know anything else. 

Nonetheless, Square Enix has not yet released any official news with regard to the development of "Kingdom Hearts 3" and its release date. So, fans must take this reveal with some precaution just like other leaks online.  

Meanwhile, what is rather clear at this point is that the developer has just released the "Kingdom Hearts 2.8" Chapter Prolouge that sets players to some fun and adventure that will continue in "Kingdom Hearts 3". It won't take long for Square Enix to treat gamers with official announcement of its next title that will put an enthralling conclusion to the journey of Sora and friends.
