'Final Fantasy VII' Remake Update: Cloud Strife, Sephiroth Headed To 'Mobius Final Fantasy' [VIDEO]; Official Reveal At MAGIC 2017?
Vinay PatelThe latest update for "Final Fantasy VII" remake center on new details regarding the episodic release and Cloud Strife and Sephiroth's impending appearance in the game.
It looks like the episodic release of the "Final Fantasy VII" remake is slated to receive additional contents. Square Enix producer Yoshinori Kitase has been adding more fuel to the already burning rumor about extra contents by regularly teasing plans for each episode in bid to keep the frenzy around the title alive. Nevertheless, there will be considerable inconsistency in terms of releases, GamingBolt reported.
According to Kitase, the highly anticipated remake of "Final Fantasy 7" will expand via compilation; however, he added that they do not have a concrete strategy planned for it at the moment. Moreover, meeting the game's volume will obviously not be plausible for them within just a few months.
It is imperative for the studio to devise a way to effectively fill out those gaps if they want to stand any chance of retaining players' interest. Probably, realizing this, Kitase is also gearing up to host a live stream event or program through which fans can get updates about the remake's progress.
It can be recalled that Kitase was bent on patterning "Final Fantasy VII" remake to Final Fantasy XIII," featuring three episodes with every part being a full-blown game as every installment probably focusing on the story from a different frame of reference.
Game director Tetsuya Nomura confirmed that they are currently prepping a big info reveal for the "FFVII" remake, rather than sporadically rolling out bits and pieces. Nomura will be notifying avid gamers in person about the upcoming update of the game.
Meanwhile, Square Enix has launched a brand spanking new trailer for "Mobius Final Fantasy," giving fans a brief glimpse of two of their favorite "FFVII" characters: Cloud Strife and Sephiroth.
While details about the Cloud and Sephiroth crossover event in "Mobius Final Fantasy" are still hard to come by, a Japanese language trailer featuring both fan-favorite characters has surfaced online.
The said trailer showcases the newfangled appearances of both characters, which basically are representations shown in the Final Fantasy 7 Advent Children film not too long ago, Gamerant reported.
Optimistic "Final Fantasy" fans are already looking forward to MAGIC (Monaco Anime Game International Conferences) 2017 in anticipation that Square Enix will divulge more details about the long-rumored "FFVII" remake, which is expected to hit the store shelves sometime this year for the PS4.
