Elizabeth Banks is reprising her role as Sal - Cam and Mitchell's hot-mess pal on "Modern Family" Valentine's Day special crashing their event with her son, whom she said she was raising gay and he proved it by describing Mitchell's pants as ‘tragic'. Sal has also appeared in previous episodes and has been a mess (a little).

Entertainment Weekly reports that Sal is crashing the "Modern Family" event-filled Valentine's Day as her lover will be out of town, which is why she is seeking company from her friends. Haley will also be tagged along, who's dating Nathan Fillion's Rainer Shine, whose lie might be the cause of her heartbreak and it may not be too good for her.

Sal also complained about her boyfriend who's dumping her on Valentine's Day and as mad as she is, she tries to destroy his yacht. She then grabbed his Tony Award while on board and warned to throw it overboard. "I will not tell your gay son that you threw a Tony into the ocean," Cam told her.

Sal then pitched herself overboard by accident and the coldness of the water made her realize to just let her boyfriend go and get Cam and Mitchell upset once again. The official synopsis for "Modern Family" also revealed that the couple will take a major responsibility on Valentine's Day urging Sal, Lily and Haley to stand up to the men in their lives.

In the event that Sal and Haley follow the couple's advice, it can lead to a completely different amusing situation and Sal's boyfriend should ‘face the music' once he comes back. As for Haley, she might also split up with Rainer, whom she spotted with another woman at the bar or set the record straight.

However, it still remains to be seen how the "Modern Family" Valentine's Day episode reveals. "Modern Family" airs every Wednesday at 9 PM on ABC. Stay tuned.
