Ubisoft Plans 'Watch Dogs 3', New 'Assassin's Creed' As 2018 AAA Games; 'South Park: Fractured But Whole' Delayed?

Ubisoft will be releasing games in the coming months and one of them could be "Watch Dogs 3". Ubisoft CEO Yves Guillemot hints that the third title in the franchise is being considered.

This is evident when Guillemot discussed the importance of the "long term" future of the franchise. If one recalls, the gaming world assumed that "Watch Dogs 2" had a poor reputation and it sold less than what the company expected during its launch in November last year.

The game failed to beat "Call Of Duty: Infinite Warfare". But the PS4 version topped the individual formats charts and the Xbox One version was at number four. According to Metro UK, the game is actually quite good and certainly better than the original title. Ubisoft has also been "happy" with its post-launch sales.

And it spreads like wildfire that "Watch Dogs 2" has now higher sales than "Assassin's Creed Syndicate", according to Eurogamer. Ubisoft's trend for the past few years shows that it releases a number of AAA games in a year.

But this time, only four games will be out between today and March 2018 and this include "South Park: The Fractured But Whole". The other three titles are yet unclear but reports say that a new "Assassin's Creed" game might be released next year.

These three big names are expected to be announced in the next few months and it is hoped that "Watch Dogs 3" might be one of them. The announcement most likely will happen in June since Ubisoft always chooses to reveal at least one new game during Sony's E3 event.

And for those who haven't tried "Watch Dogs 2" yet, this is the best chance to play the game for free on consoles before buying it. Ubisoft announced that players who do not own the game can download a demo for three hours of free gameplay.

Players of PS4 and Xbox One will get the full game experience including single-player, multiplayer and co-op of "Watch Dogs 2". The player's progress will be carried over to the full game if they buy it after the trial period.
