New Xbox One Game: Horror Echolocation Game 'Perception'
JPA new horror game is scheduled to be released for the Xbox One. "Perception" a new video game developed by former developers of the hit video game "BioShock" has been announced for the Xbox One.
"Perception" game developer, Deep End Games, has just announced via Xbox Wire that the horror game will be heading to the Xbox One. The recent announcement did not come as a surprise as the game developer has already hinted the possibility of "Perception" Xbox One version.
Most of the personnel of Deep End Games were involved in developing hit games; "BioShock," "BioShock: Infinite," and "Dead Space." Bill Gardner, who served as a project lead of "Perception," was the former design director of "BioShock: Infinite."
"Perception" follows Cassie Thornton in the game. Cassie is a blind woman currently residing in a mansion in Massachusetts that is also inhabited by a supernatural force called "the presence."
Players will come equipped with a walking stick and smartphone. In "Perception," players will have to play in the dark as they will be exploring the game in Cassie's perspective.
The new Xbox One game "Perception" uses echolocation.Every tap of the walking stick will create a visualization of the surrounding environment. Players will have to continuously tap the surfaces to navigate the entire mansion.
The surrounding noise will also alert the players of the presence of supernatural beings. Players will have to avoid the supernatural beings to complete the game by hiding or using stealth.
Deep End has also announced that "Perception" will also be made available for the PlayStation 4 and the PC. No "Perception" release date for the Xbox One, PC and PS4 has been announced.
The echolocation feature of "Perception" would have been a great if the game is released with VR support. However, Deep End Games is yet to make an announcement if the new Xbox One game will have a VR support.
