‘Pokemon Go’ Gen 2 & Valentine’s Day Event Update: Chansey, Pidgey & Double Candy Advantage

The "Pokemon GO" Valentine's Day event will be ending in two days and players need to buckle up to get the most out of it. Moreover, a full "Pokemon GO" Gen 2 release is around the corner and players need to be carrying out certain things in the Valentine's Day event to be fully prepared when Gen 2 is released. By now, players may have caught a Chansey, a Porygon, Clefables and enough Exeggcutes. They need to do much more. Let's find out what.

According to Pokemon Go Informer, the first thing that "Pokemon GO" players need to do is catch a lot of Slowpokes, Porygons and Chanseys as they will evolve as Gen 2 is released. Slowpoke will have a second evolution though. Thus, catching many of these will increase their spawn rates during the event and players will also receive double candy from the catch or transfers. If Niantic does not provide new ways to evolve Pokemon, Pokemon Candy will play the most important role.

Catching a lot of the mentioned Pokemon will make it easier to get 50 or 100 candy needed for evolution during the event. Players won't have to wait for a later date. They should also transfer most of their Pokemon before the "Pokemon GO" Valentine's Day event ends. It's double candy for players for the next two days and the whole inventory of Pokemon should be transferred for more candy. Pidgeys will help a lot in this as with additional candy players will be able to evolve more, which in turn means more XP.

Catching all Pokemon capable of Gen 2 evolutions is essential as the extra candy will be handy during "Pokemon GO" Gen 2 rollout. According to Tech.Mic, Silph Road community member Norovo, has also pointed out the importance of catching Chanseys and Pidgeys.
