Some ‘Pokemon GO’ Updates Players Should Know Of Apart From Gen 2
Ritwik RoyWhether "Pokemon GO" Gen 2 Pokemon are coming on Feb. 18 is not yet finalized but it is widely believed that they will be released this weekend. When it comes, it shall be a treat for many with loads of new Pokemon to catch. Apart from the 80 Gen 2 Pokemon, there are few other updates that players may not be aware of. Niantic has stated that new avatars and an expandable wardrobe are definitely coming. This will allow players to give their avatars a complete upgrade. There is a whole range of pants, shirts and hats to choose from.
According to "Pokemon GO" Niantic Labs, players can get two new Berries when they spin the Photo Disc at PokeStops. They are the Pinap and Nanab Berries. Players can use a Nanab Berry to slow down a Pokemon so that it can be caught easily. The Pinap Berry doubles the amount of Candy a player receives if his subsequent catch attempt succeeds. Niantic has brought new encounter gameplay. Thus, players may be surprised if they suddenly find Pokemon behaving weird while catching them.
New "Pokemon GO" update will also allow players to select PokeBalls and Berries directly from the encounter screen. This has been made possible by new item carousels. According to Metro, Niantic is giving more and more opportunities to players to evolve their Pokemon. Players should always be alert at PokeStops for new evolution items. These can come handy in evolving Pokemon. Update to the "Pokemon GO" Grand Master file includes Gym Battle boosts such as X Miracle, X Attack and X Defense items.
Unfortunately, a trainer has to first hit Level 100 before she/he can unlock and obtain these. Niantic has reportedly added these items to the backend of the game so that trainers do not accidentally unlock them. Some players believe that Niantic will also add the ultimate PokeBall to the game in near future and that's why there's a level lock on the Master Ball.
