Square Enix, Sony and Nintendo Must Collaborate To Launch 'Final Fantasy XIV' Nintendo Switch Version
JPA "Final Fantasy XIV" Nintendo Switch version may be released. This has been confirmed by Naoki Yoshida, the producer of the hit Square Enix MMORPG.
Naoki Yoshida confirmed during a "Final Fantasy XIV" event in Frankfurt that their team is considering taking the hit MMORPG to Nintendo Switch. Yoshida is the video game producer of Square Enix's "FFXIV."
According to Yoshida, the goal of the "Final Fantasy XIV" development team is to release the Square Enix RPG to as many video game console possible. This includes releasing "FFXIV" to Nintendo Switch.
However, Yoshida also insisted that for a "Final Fantasy XIV" Nintendo Switch to happen, Nintendo must agree to have a cross-platform play. This would mean Nintendo will not only be working with Square Enix but a collaboration with their video game rival, Sony, must also be agreed on.
According to the "FFXIV" video game producer, the only limitation that their team back in Square Enix has imposed for the game is that they don't want to create a boxed off version of the game. If the Nintendo Switch overcome this hurdle, then a discussion for the game to be launched for the new hybrid game console can take place.
It can also be remembered that "Final Fantasy XV" director Hajime Tabata revealed in a recent interview that no plans to release the hit RPG for the Nintendo Switch have been made. The "FFXV" director also stated that they are leaning towards releasing an Xbox Scorpio support for the game than releasing a "Final Fantasy XV" Nintendo Switch version.
With the recent pronouncement of Yoshida, it looks like we might be seeing a "Final Fantasy" game on the Nintendo Switch after all. However, for this to happen, Nintendo must first agree to collaborate with both Square Enix and Sony for a cross-platform "Final Fantasy XIV" Nintendo Switch game.
