'Injustice 2' Update: New Character Unleashed Via Story Trailer; Cyborg Face-Off with Batman
Louise BonquinThe "Injustice 2" latest preview unveiled another character that will be joining the roster of NeatherRealm's fighting game. It is a Cyborg, a half human half machine character, and it was revealed via the story trailer titled "Shattered Alliances."
The "Injustice 2" trailer showed Cyborg shooting Batman and threatening to hurt him if he gets in his way. "I won't hurt you unless I have to," the Cyborg said. This cold cautious attitude could be the result of trauma that the Cyborg suffered in "Injustice: Gods Among Us."
It can be recalled that the death of fellow Teen Titans made a great impact on Cyborg so he became suspicious and more protective of his teammates. In any case, the "Injustice 2" story trailer also showed other DC characters - heroes and villains -- in state of combat. Some that were featured include Harley Quinn, Robin, Supergirl and Wonder Woman.
At the end of the video, the fighting scene involves Batman and Superman. The two popular characters are exchanging punches and it appears that the latter is winning the face-off.
On "Injustice 2" website, it was stated that the second installment promises an ultimate version of the game with massive roster of DC characters and epic storyline. Moreover, this follow-up to the hit "Injustice: Gods Among Us" will allow players to personalize the characters by providing them gears and items of their own choosing.
Based on the previews, the main focus of the story is about Batman vs. Superman. While Batman and his associates work on building and restoring the society, Superman and his allies are making things complicated because what they want to restore is Superman's authority.
As this squabble continue to cause tension and disarray, a new terror to the city has emerged. This menace is likely to put the world at risk so the heroes must work together to save the earth.
Meanwhile, "Injustice 2" is set to arrive on May 16. NetherRealm Studios is releasing the fame for PlayStaion 4 and Xbox One. Pre-order is now available via GameStop, Xbox and PlayStation, Amazon and Best Buy.
