'Overwatch' Update: Will Blizzard Release the New Hero at GDC? Developers Shared Another Teaser
Coco DollangangerBlizzard has announced its plans for "Overwatch" next week at Game Developers Conference in San Francisco, where it will host nine discussions dedicated to the game and this could mean that the developers will provide updates of brand new hero's entity. It will begin with an animation bootcamp on Feb. 27, which will be about how the developer sustains the sense of character particularly in a first-person game.
While it's unlikely that Blizzard would totally unveil brand new heroes, maps or game modes at Game Developers Conference, it's still possible that it will provide some big clues. On March 3, the big talk takes place with Blizzard calling the discussion ‘Thinking Globally: Building the Optimistic Future of "Overwatch"'.
"The world could always use more heroes! "Overwatch" is Blizzard's newest universe, featuring a diverse cast of soldiers, scientists, adventurers, and oddities doing battle around the globe sixty years in the future," reads Blizzard's official description on the discussion. Moreover, the talks will also allow fans learn how a team-based multiplayer shooter leaves from a simple idea to an extensive storyline for "Overwatch." The talk will be hosted by lead writer Michael Chu, Express reports.
Meanwhile, the official "Overwatch" Twitter account shared another teaser for the brand new character showing an image with a caption that reads "[BREAKING] OR15 defense units destroyed in confrontation with unidentified assailant at Numbani airport. No civilian casualties reported." A few days ago, Blizzard introduced all fans to Efi Oladele, a young inventor who received an award from the Adawe Foundation for her ‘impressive achievements in robotics and artificial intelligence'.
According to IGN, during the character interview with Oladele, she mentioned OR15s, which is the same unit showcased in the new teaser that was dropped on Twitter. She said that she wants to create things that will make everyone's lives better and dream of building something that will keep all people secured just like the new OR15s.
