QLED and OLED acronyms have quite the small tendency to be mistaken but the two have different functions. Samsung's QLED acronym means "quantum dot light-emitting diode." This acronym is often confused with OLED acronym because of the letter and "LED" similarity. However, the two is vastly different in terms of purpose and function. In contrast with the QLED acronym title of Samsung's latest innovation, the true quantum light-emitting diode emits its own light while Samsung's QLED TV uses a separate LCD backlight, according to TechRadar.
Samsung QLED displays differ on its emits its own light while the OLED displays are manufactured by LG for Sony, Philips, and Panasonic. QLED display is advantageous based on its function to emit own light and brighter colors emerge from the screen whenever this system is installed. Most of all, QLED's focal point is the brightness and HRD content support. On the other hand, OLED wins on the display technology in terms of picture quality. As much as customer want the two technologies to merge, the two will be the milestones that will be foundations for future projects regarding television displays and resolution. According to CNET, the curved version of Samsung QLED TV breaks the common mindset of flat version televisions, but still maintaining the display quality and performance.
