A "Pokemon GO" double XP event may be unveiled soon. A recent interview with a developer of the AR mobile game after the recently concluded DICE summit may have just given away what is in store in the game's easter event.

In an interview that appeared on the official snapchat channel of IGN, a "Pokemon GO" developer asked players of the game to save their candies. His statement was followed by a wink and a thumbs-up.

The intriguing statement and acts of the developer sparked speculations as to its possible meaning and its relationship with the upcoming "Pokemon GO" easter event. The SilphRoad has speculated that a double candy event or something of that nature may be unveiled soon.

Also, a pattern in the past "Pokemon GO" events have been noticed by redditor staphone_marberry. Using the said pattern, it can be inferred that the next event may be a double XP event.

Another redditor who goes by the handle, Captain Patent, also chipped in his idea about the upcoming event. According to the Captain Patent, the next "Pokemon GO" event may be a St. Patrick's Day event that is centered on Lucky Eggs. The redditor also suggested that Niantic may unveil a consumable item that grants double XP for a limited period of 30 minutes.

With just fan theories and an unclear statement from a developer to bank it on, the speculated double XP event must be taken with a grain of salt. However, one thing is certain, the next event will have something to do with Pokemon Candies.

With Easter and the St. Patrick's Day just around the corner, Niantic may soon unveil what fans of the game can expect from the game. Whether or not the next event will be a "Pokemon GO" double XP event is still up in the air.
