Google Pixel Latest News: Company Accidentaly Confims Google Pixel 2; Previous Model Expected To Drop Price
Keisuke AkioCoinciding with the Google's revelation of its company hardware VP, it unintentionally confirmed the presence of 2017 iteration of the company's first-rate phones by way of automated update bot. In line with this, the trimming down on Google Pixel phones' price is anticipated to happen.
Reports have been swirling since last month that Google is developing a super-sized device which is alleged by everyone as the project "Taimen". By accident, the company confirmed the phone models will just have the similar as what the normal phones have.
A media team from Android Open Source Project have seen some codenames like "Muskie" and "Walleye" for instance. They said they also discovered about the search giant's automated update bot and it is called Treehugger from the AOSP which shows changes, reported by Forbes.
Together with this new details is the statement from Rick Osterloh, Google's Hardware VP. The statement was about the 2017 iteration of Pixel phones. Until now, its release it still indefinite but more likely it will be out October this year. Pixel 2 is expected to be released with an improved camera and will be powered by Qualcomm's latest Snapdragon 835 chipset, says Trusted Reviews. Overall, this year, Google is anticipated to roll out Pixel 2 (5.8-inch Muskie), Pixel 2 XL (6.2-inch Walleye) and Chromebook Pixel 3 hybrid. These next generation smartphones are said to be Samsung Galaxy duo's competitor.
Now that an upcoming phone from Google is tipped to be released, the prices of its predecessors have dropped. Google Pixel is currently priced at $600 while Pixel XL costs $720, according to Express. However, without the official announcement from Google, the prices of these products are still the same.
