Samsung Galaxy S8 Latest News: New Prototypes Revealed A Vertically Mounted Dual Camera Setup
Keisuke AkioNew Samsung Galaxy S8 prototypes are making rounds on the Internet recently. One prototype reveals that the flagship device has a vertically mounted dual camera setup.
The Samsung Galaxy S8 has received positive feedback from numerous analysts during its launch. One report recently claimed that even when punctured the device's battery would not explode. The impressive features and specs of the most recent offering from the South Korean tech giant have consumers and analysts buzz over it.
However, it could have been released better. If prototypes recently flooding the Internet are accurate, the flagship device will definitely be rated higher. One of the features that were previously anticipated by the public that would be featured on the Galaxy S8 is the dual camera setup. Many were disappointed upon learning during the reveal that such feature was not integrated, says The Verge.
The prototype posted on Weibo revealed that the company indeed once tried the idea of dual camera setup, which is vertically mounted to be precise. It confirmed that the prototype is indeed the Galaxy S8 based on the almost bezel-less display and soft buttons on the phone.
The vertical configuration of the camera setup found at the back part of the prototype could have been one of Galaxy S8's impressive features. Currently, no one can exactly give definite information as to what could be the product of such camera configuration.
Aside from the dual camera setup, interesting information revealed in the Galaxy S8 prototype is the missing fingerprint reader located at the rear part of the device. The location of the fingerprint reader integration is a first from the South Korean tech giant and would entail most Samsung user a lot of getting used to. Most probably, the company did not push for it due to time constraint in the engineering aspect, says Wccftech.
The Samsung Galaxy S8 so far is one of the best smartphones in the market. The device is for sale at a starting price of $749.99.
