iOS 17.2 Public Beta 3 Teases Potential Journal App, Added Security Features Addition for iPhones
Staff ReporterOn November 15, Apple quickly made iOS 17.2 beta 3 available to the general public for beta testing, bringing with it more than a dozen much-awaited features like Contact Key Verification and the Journal app.
The public release date is still pending, although it is accessible to developers and testers.
Installing the beta on secondary devices is advised to prevent potential flaws from impacting primary devices.
Although the features are interesting, there could be bugs or issues with battery life. As a developer or beta tester, you should anticipate additional features in the third iOS 17.2 beta, but when iOS 17.2 is officially released, there will be even more surprises.
The much-anticipated Journal app from Apple has finally surfaced with the iOS 17.2 beta 1 release; it was not included in the September iOS 17 launch.
This software, unveiled at WWDC, uses machine learning to provide customized writing suggestions based on your iPhone actions, including the pictures you've taken or the music you've listened to all day.
The program offers pre-made writing exercises called Reflections, such as writing about someone who cheers you up when you're down or about unexpected gifts. But if it doesn't feel right, click New Entry.
To improve your journal entry, write anything down, record a voice memo, take a picture, or record a video.
The app's lock feature, which requires Face ID or a passcode if left idle for a predetermined amount of time, will be appreciated by privacy-conscious users. It's a lifesaver for folks with forgetfulness issues. It not only suggests ideas based on your day, but it also plays music or podcasts from the past for quick recollection.
Journal now has a journaling schedule that may be set up when using the most recent beta; decide how often and when you want to journal, and you're done.
Reminders on a schedule will encourage you to write. The new setup screen gives this journaling experience a new twist, even though the scheduling isn't new.

In iOS 17.2 beta 3, Contact Key Verification is a member of the security team, giving users additional protection against online threats. This security service helps officers, employees, and the media feel comfortable, ensuring that communications end up in the right inbox.
Furthermore, Live Stickers allows users to edit photos and create their own stickers-experience replying to texts with your own customized Live Stickers, available in iOS 17.
Apple Music's new feature allows collaborative playlist creation, enabling multiple contributors.
Additionally, the "Favorites" playlist now collects all your favorite songs. The stickers find a new home in response to a tap back in the Messages app, while the iPhone 15 Pro's Action Button triggers the Translate function. In addition, iMessage Contact Key Verification increases security.
Exciting new features abound: recent weather and clock widgets, message sync improvements, Memoji options, TV app tweaks, and more await in iOS 17.2 beta.
