The new OnePlus and Galaxy releases have started a big fight between phone companies. The two phones can do more now and don't cost as much as before. Folks can get the Galaxy in mid-February for $849, while the new OnePlus is currently for sale at prices from $729 to $799.

Both offer improved features at a lower cost compared to their predecessors.

The OnePlus 11 and Samsung Galaxy S23 Go Head-to-Head in a Comparison of Specs

Display

The 6.7-inch OnePlus 11 AMOLED screen bends at the sides and has a sharp QHD+ resolution, letting you see things clearly while zipping through web pages fast at 120Hz.

Meanwhile, the 6.1-inch screen on the Galaxy S23 is flat but still shows colors beautifully with FHD+ at a smooth 120Hz that changes based on what's on-screen, so it does not use as much power when not needed.

Processor and GPU

Both phones have the Qualcomm Snapdragon 8 Gen 2 processor and Adreno 740 GPU.

RAM and Storage

The OnePlus 11 comes with either 8 or 16 gigabytes of fast LPDDR5X memory and spots to store stuff of 128 or 256 gigabytes, while the Galaxy S23 has 8 gigabytes of memory and 128 or 256 gigabytes of room. The storage places in the OnePlus 11 are types UFS 3.1 or the new fast UFS 4.0 style.

Battery and Charging

The OnePlus 11 has a large 5,000mAh battery that supports fast 80W or 100W charging through a wire. On the other hand, the Galaxy S23 has a 3,900mAh battery, allowing 25W charging when plugged in and 15W wireless charging in the air. OnePlus 11 doesn't support wireless charging.

Cameras

Cameras on the OnePlus 11 and Galaxy S23 are mighty excellent. OnePlus has a substantial 50-megapixel primary camera, a 48-megapixel wide-angle camera, and a 32-megapixel zoom lens on the back.

Meanwhile, the Galaxy packs a 50-megapixel wide camera, a 12-megapixel ultra-wide, and a 10-megapixel telephoto lens. Both phones mean business when it comes to taking photos!

Video

Both offer high-resolution rear and front video recording capabilities, with the OnePlus 11 supporting 8K at 24fps and the Galaxy S23 supporting 8K at 24/30FPS.

Audio, Connectivity, Security

Both phones have stereo sound from their speakers and three microphones each. There's no hole for headphones on either phone, and they connect similarly. Fingerprint unlock works through the screens on the two devices, plus they resist water and dust with the same IP ratings.

Software, Materials, Dimensions, and Colors

OnePlus 11, built on OxygenOS with Android 13 roots, contrasts with Galaxy S23's use of One UI 5.1 atop the same Android version. Both offer unique styles and sizes; choices in color differ, too.

Titan Black and Eternal Green are in OnePlus devices; Galaxy boasts shades like Phantom Black, Cream, Green, Lavender, Graphite, and Lime.

OnePlus excels with a vast screen that shines brighter alongside superior refresh rates to captivate users during gaming or media viewing.

Equipped with quick charging, total power is reached rapidly via wired methods at lightning-fast hundred-watt speeds. Galaxy S23 stands out as the more slender contender beside its OnePlus rival-a lightweight champion well-suited to users yearning for ease carrying their device around.

It boasts water- and dust-proof qualities (IP68 certified), adapting seamlessly across varied environments and situations.
