This move is a significant shift away from its previous brand, Nokia. The HMD Pulse, HMD Pulse+, HMD Pulse Pro, and HMD Vibe are the first smartphones to bear the HMD name, offering consumers affordable options without compromising quality.
The phones have all been designed considering the cost factor, which guarantees aesthetically pleasing designs and trendy color varieties to meet the various tastes of potential clients. The smartphones in this range are very cost-effective and suitable for entry-level smartphones because they have outstanding features, and one can get good performance at an affordable price.
HMD Vibe is the first phone that shows off its gigantic 6.56-inch HD+ screen, with an amazing 90Hz refresh rate, allowing you to have an extremely enjoyable viewing. The device is built around the Qualcomm Snapdragon 680 CPU and is supported by 4GB of RAM and 128GB of internal memory which give it potentially smooth operations and space for quite a few apps and media files.
Moreover, microSD card slot is made available with an additional 512GB of storage increase.
Regarding durability, the HMD Vibe meets the IP52 requirement, meaning that it is splashproof and ready for occasional drops, and Android 14 running on the device ensures the users the latest software experience. With a high-performance battery with a robust capacity of up to 4,000 mAh, the device manages to provide long-lasting usage, while 10W charging ensures that users can stay connected everyday.
Photography enthusiasts will appreciate the 13-megapixel rear camera and 5-megapixel selfie camera on the HMD Vibe, delivering decent photo quality for everyday use. Biometric authentication is streamlined with face unlock, offering users a convenient and secure unlocking method.

Compared to the Vibe, the HMD Pulse with Unisoc T606 chipset, up to 6GB of RAM, and a 5,000mAh high-capacity battery adds value for extended usage. Using a fingerprint sensor for enhanced security and developed dual 13MP rear cameras along with an 8MP front camera, Pulse provides a complete smartphone experience.
Stepping up the game further, the HMD Pulse+ boasts 8GB of RAM and a high-resolution 50-megapixel primary camera, elevating photography to new heights. Available in a range of attractive color options, including Glacier Green, Midnight Blue, and Apricot Crush, the Pulse+ offers users both style and substance.
Finally, with its excellent 50-megapixel front camera and faster 20W charging capabilities, the HMD Pulse Pro sets the standard. With eye-catching color choices like Glacier Green, Black Ocean, and Twilight Purple, the Pulse Pro blends style and performance for an incredibly high-end look.

The most alluring thing about these new smartphones is their low price, even with their unique features. The HMD Vibe offers excellent value for money, retailing for $39 when purchased through chosen carriers and $145 when purchased unlocked. The Pulse series isn't available in the United States.
Still, it can be bought internationally for prices ranging from 139 euros for the basic Pulse model to 179 euros for the Pro variant, which makes them affordable for a variety of users.
HMD's decision to rebrand its smartphones serves as a new stepping stone for a different journey, in which they emphasize their commitment to innovation and affordability in the tech arena.
