Samsung's most popular smartphone, the Galaxy S3, has already sold 30 million units worldwide and there are no signs of the smartphone sales letting up anytime soon. Recent rumors indicate that the Galaxy S3 with dual-SIM has been spotted in China, which may trigger the sales of the handset even more.
Smartphone users who want to have the convenience of using two mobile numbers, and do not want to carry two different handsets, have good news as the Galaxy S3 with dual-SIM may be around the corner.
Previously, rumors indicated that the Galaxy Note 2 will be available with dual-SIM in China. Now "a Galaxy S III with dual SIM capabilities has been spotted recently, too. It has the model number SCH-i939D and, like the dual SIM Note II, it doesn't support two GSM SIM cards, but a GSM one, and a CDMA one (usable on China Telecom)," reported UnwiredView.
The Galaxy S3 SCH-i939D is identical to the international black version of the Galaxy S3. The smartphone sports a 4.8-inch Super AMOLED HD display. A quad-core 1.4GHz Exynos 4412 processor powers the device. The smartphone features a 1.9-megapixel front-facing camera and an 8-megapixel rear-camera with autofocus and LED Flash.
Per reports, the Samsung Galaxy S3 SCH-i939D will soon be available in China from December onwards. The price of the smartphone is not known but Samsung may price it a bit lower than the Galaxy Note 2, but slightly higher than the regular Galaxy S3.
However, the dual-SIM Galaxy S3 SCH-i939D may never make its official journey to other parts of the world apart from China.
Users will hope that maybe Samsung will launch the dual SIM Galaxy S3 in Europe and North America. If the dual-SIM version of the smartphone is launched in Europe and North America would you buy the dual SIM Galaxy S3?
