Samsung has officially announced that the company will start selling coloful Protective Flip Covers for its best-selling smartphones - the Galaxy S3 and Galaxy Note 2.

Samsung made the announcement on Thursday, Nov. 29. The new Protective Flip Covers will not only protect the smartphone, but will also present the smartphone as fashionable device in vibrant colors.

Users will be able to purchase the new accessories from Samsung's online store soon in various options. Both Galaxy S3 and Galaxy Note 2 customers can choose either one Flip Cover for $39.99 or two for $49.99, while a four-pack will cost them $99.99. 

"Samsung's unique Flip Cover design was introduced alongside the original Galaxy Note^® and again with the Samsung Galaxy S III. Now, just in time for holiday shopping, the launch of the Galaxy Note II on five major carriers brings this premium accessory to users in seven stylish color options - Titanium Gray, Marble White, Light Blue, Pink, Mint, Lime Green, and Orange," per the official Samsung press release.

The Protective Flip Cover has a one-piece folding design with a front cover and glossy snap-on back. The front flap of the Flip Cover protects the touchscreen display of the device fingerprints, scratches, and dirt. The back of the accessory replaces the handset's battery cover. Samsung claims that the design provides additional protection to the screen while retaining the slim profile of the device.

Samsung also indicates that the Protective Flip Covers can be used for everyday use. The cover does not interfere with normal phone functions as all ports, buttons, and microphones are easily accessible, which allows the user to make phone calls and use the speaker phone even when the Flip Cover is closed. 

The Protective Flip Covers will be available in the following colors:

Galaxy Note 2 Option A: Marble White, Titanium Gray, Light Blue, Orange 
Galaxy Note 2 Option B: Pink, Marble White, Light Blue, Lime Green 

Galaxy S3 Option A: Pebble Blue, Lime Green, Light Blue, Orange 
Galaxy S3 Option B: Marble White, Pink, Light Blue, Yellow
