Despite Nokia's iron fist control of the Windows Phone market, HTC is not backing down. According to recent leaks, the HTC Titan 3 is in the pipeline, the one Windows Phone 8 device that could possess the power to unseat the Nokia Lumia 920.
HTC's first Windows Phone handset was the Titan, when version 7.5 of the operating system came out. The company launched the HTC Titan 2, arguably one of the best Windows Phone 7 handset. It was the first and only Windows Phone handset to come equipped with a 16MP camera, which made it the best shooter of any Windows Phone-based handset and not even the Nokia Lumia 900 was able to go up against this beast.
A recent Xbox Live survey question asked participants how excited they would be to receive a listed number of phones; among this list is the HTC Titan 3, a device that has not been announced by either Microsoft or HTC. Other phones among the list include the iPhone 5, Motorola Droid RAZR Maxx HD, Nokia Lumia 920, and Samsung Galaxy S3.
Back in June, there was a rumored HTC smartphone called the Zenith, this bad boy is said to be packing a 4.7-inch Super LCD 2 display, an 8-megapixel camera, quad-core processor, NFC, and HSPA+. If this is the HTC Titan 3, the company could end up bumping the megapixel count to 16 or more, unless it feels 8 alone is quite sufficient.
If and when the HTC Titan 3 is announced, its home will likely be AT&T. This is pure speculation, and has all to do with the Titan 2 being an exclusive to AT&T, though this could change if the Nokia Lumia 920 proves to be too much.
