Windows Phone 7.8 is the next big update for the Windows Phone 7 platform, and fans are eagerly waiting to get their hands on the same. Owners of the Nokia Lumia 800 and Lumia 510 won't have to wait long because a copy is lurking on the Internet.

The leaked update appeared on Navifirm according to a post by Winp.cn, and is only available for the Nokia Lumia 800 and Lumia 510.
"It appears that the official release of Windows Phone 7.8 is just around the corner, as the OS has appeared on NaviFirm for the Nokia Lumia 800 and Nokia Lumia 510, a post by WinP.cn shows," reported Tech2in.
Owners of the selected handsets who are not afraid to jump in and flash their device, can do so, or wait for the official release to be on the safe side.
Windows Phone 7.8 is no Windows Phone 8, but the features it brings is enough to hold some users over until they can afford a smartphone based on the Windows Phone 8 platform.

As it stands, Lumia owners are getting VIP treatment. Expect many users who have expertise in flashing their smartphones to have the Lumia version of the Windows Phone 7.8 update on their non-Lumia handset. With the innumerable features coming, not many would settle for the core experience alone when the grass on the other side is so much greener!
