After waiting for so long to get a Windows Phone 8 version of WhatsApp in the store, one would think the developers would have brought a new experience that differs from the Windows Phone 7.5 version. However, that is not the case. Surprisingly, the app is actually inferior to its Windows Phone 7.5 counterpart, which is more than just strange.

One would have expected the new WhatsApp to take advantage of new abilities found in Windows Phone 8 after being in development for so long. Features like fast resume from the Live Tile is surprisingly missing. This is something every new Windows Phone 8 app should have from day one of release.

Take a look at the video below for a comparison between both the Windows Phone 8 and Windows Phone 7.5 versions and let us know what you think.
