"Samsung Electronics Co. Ltd., today announced a Premium Suite upgrade for its flagship smartphone the Galaxy S III, further improving the experience with innovative and even more convenient features," stated the Samsung press release.

The roll out of the upgrade began on Thursday, Dec. 20 in the UK and can be downloaded over-the-air (OTA) or via Samsung KIES software.

The Premium Suite upgrade brings a gamut of "innovative and productive features" that were introduced by the Galaxy Note 2. Samsung asserted that "consumers around the world have already enjoyed the elegant intelligence that the Galaxy S III brings to their lives and the Premium Suite package takes this to a higher level.

Some of the notable features the Premium Suite upgrade brings are as follows:

Multi Window

This feature lets users multitask by letting them run two applications simultaneously. The feature adds split-screen functionality to the Galaxy S3's 4.8-inch display, making for an "ultimate multitasking experience."

Paper Artist App

This app is exclusive to Samsung and packs in plenty of cool and creative photo effects, as well as "provides intuitive emotional photo editing functions such as the brush coloring tool."

Group Cast

With the Group Cast feature in tow, users can "share and collaborate on documents, presentations or images in real-time with multiple friends or colleagues without loading the file separately."

Smart Rotation

The Galaxy S3 is able to detect and recognize the user's face thanks to this feature. What's more, it automatically rotates the "screen direction to adjust to the user's face position."

Camera Enhancements

The upgrade brings with it several camera enhancement, including the new 'Best Face' feature, which is an enhanced version of the older Best Photo feature. Users can now choose from "five continuous shots the best face of each person in the photo, to create an image that satisfies everyone."

Additionally, a Low Light mode has been added to enable sharper and brighter image capture even in dark places. Moreover, the Panorma mode has been expanded to 340 - 360 degree.

The Premium Suite upgrade to the Galaxy S3 will also bring features like Continuous Input, AllShare Cast, Smart Dock, Page Buddy, and improved touch response to the smartphone.
