Electronic Arts' (EA) popular first-person shooter ‘Battlefield 3’ is all set to receive its final downloadable content (DLC) as EA has announced that the company will be releasing the upcoming End Game DLC for the game next year.
As mentioned by EA, the DLC will be released next year for the PlayStation 3, Xbox 360 and PC, with the PS3 version of the DLC scheduled to get the DLC first for one week. However, the PS3 version of the DLC only includes the premium PS3 members. EA also says that the maps are going to be vast and there will be a lot of vehicles, including bikes.
Key features of the DLC include:
End Game will be the first time that ‘Battlefield 3’ will have bikes. This comes with other expected things like having a second rider behind the main bike rider doing the shooting. Players can expect to end up with high-speed chases across maps on bikes and other vehicles. Users can also anticipate new servers created only to have bike races with guns.
“Battlefield 3: End Game delivers some of the most high-speed warfare to date across four vast maps. Race through enemy lines using the new dirt bike, bringing speed and agility to the Battlefield, or fight back aerial assaults with new lightweight AA vehicles,” the official page states.
“Coordinate lightning-fast attacks and defenses in the return of the classic 'Capture The Flag' game mode. In the skies, the new dropship introduces the ability to turn the tide with rapid deployment air drops of troop transports.”
The previous DLC to the game, Aftermath, was released back in November. The release of the DLC, at that time, was celebrated with a launch trailer for Aftermath. Aftermath was set amongst the shattered districts, streets and surrounding villages of a post-earthquake Tehran, and depicted a continuing struggle for supremacy and survival amongst the devastation.
The DLC will be released in March 2013 and subscribers of ‘Battlefield 3: Premium’ won’t have to pay for it.
