When it comes down to Windows Phone 8 devices, the cheapest of all is the Nokia Lumia 620, a handset that could potentially become a bestseller for Nokia if all things go according to plan.
The device has been making the rounds on the Internet of late, and from what has been shown thus far, the Lumia 620 looks pretty solid. Compared to the HTC 8S, the Lumia 620 is not only more powerful, but cheaper, which is quite surprising but not so much, since the manufacturer is Nokia.
The folks at ChannelTimex got their hands on a Lumia 620 recently and uploaded a video showcasing the device. The handset packs a 3.8-inch ClearBlack touch display, 1GHz dual core Qualcomm S4 processor, 512MB RAM, 8GB internal storage, a 5-megapixel camera, a front-facing camera, NFC, Bluetooth 3.0, 5GHz Wi-Fi, and 320 hours standby time.
However, the most impressive aspect is that Nokia is selling this phone for $250, or roughly 190 Euros. The Nokia Lumia 620 may be small in size, but compared to the bigger Lumia 800 and Lumia 900, it is more powerful, cheaper and running on Windows Phone 8. The price is a little too expensive for emerging markets, but that would not likely stop the handset from succeeding.
