Recently, the Internet was abuzz with rumors that Samsung would soon be launching its Galaxy Note 2 phablet in a new black avatar; however, it turned out the leaked image was phony. Nonetheless, the Galaxy Note 2 is in the news again and, per reports, images of the smartphone in two new colors have surfaced in a magazine ad in Korea.
The Korean magazine advertisement shows the Galaxy Note 2 in two new colors - red and brown (dubbed Ruby Wine and Amber Brown).
"It was found that the new color is added to the smartphone "(SHV-E250) Samsung GALAXY Note II" made by Samsung Electronics. New color being added in the version of the Samsung GALAXY Note II Korea and South Korea forum has been leaked image also. New colors to be added is the Amber Brown and Ruby Wine," reported Japanese site Blog of Mobile (translated).
Earlier in Nov. 2012, the buzzword was that Samsung would soon release its Galaxy Note 2 in more colors in 2013, and the speculated hues were said to be Amber Brown, Ruby Wine, and Topaz Blue.
While the Amber Brown and Ruby Wine colors have surfaced, the Topaz Blue variant is yet to show up.
While the appearance in a Korean magazine ad hints that the colors will soon be made available in Korea, it is not yet known if the hues will be region-specific or make it to the U.S. and Europe as well. Samsung has previously launched a Martian Pink version of the Galaxy S3, which was exclusive to the South Korean market.
The Galaxy Note 2 currently dons two avatars - Marble White and Titanium Gray - and by the looks of things, the smartphone could soon get more colors.
