iPhone 5 launched in Sept. 2012 and has received high popularity since its release, and within just three months, rumors regarding the launch of the next-generation iPhone 5S have started emerging. The latest rumors indicate that iPhone 5S will be available in different sizes and colors.

Topeka Capital Market analyst Brian White has reported that similar to Android smartphones, which are available in different colors, sizes, and models, Apple may launch the next-generation iPhone 5S with different screen sizes, colors, features, and price points. This approach will enable Apple to penetrate deeper in the smartphone market.

White also reports that Apple iPhone will go in production in March or April this year with the launch expected in May or June 2013.

"Our checks indicate that the next iPhone will have more choices for customers. This entails an expansion in both the color patterns and screen sizes with the next iPhone (i.e., likely called the iPhone 5S) that we currently believe will be launched in May/June with certain supply production starting in March/April," noted White, per a Forbes report.

White further noted that the checks indicate "that the next iPhone will offer customers more choice in terms of screen size. Although Apple offers a 4-inch screen on the iPhone 5 and a 3.5-inch screen on the iPhone 4S and iPhone 4, the Company has never offered multiple screen sizes for a single model. We believe this is about to change with the next iPhone offering different screen sizes that we believe will allow Apple to better bifurcate the market and expand its reach."

The analyst says that Apple iPhone 5S may be available in a variety of colors such as pink, yellow, blue, white & silver, and black & slate. If the analyst's prediction does come true, then with the introduction of vibrant colors, Apple could well be taking its iPod Touch route.

Which color and size of the iPhone 5S would you prefer?
