Samsung's Galaxy portfolio of devices seem to be on course to add some color to the vanilla life. Recently, the best-selling Galaxy Note 2 got a makeover and was spotted in the Amber Brown avatar, and now reports indicate that the Galaxy S3 Mini is set to follow suit and get three new colors.
Earlier in November 2012, rumor had it that Samsung would launch the Galaxy S3 Mini, the smaller sibling of the Galaxy S3 smartphone, in three new colors - Onyx Black, Titan Gray, and Garnet Red - in early 2013.
Now, according to a SamMobile report, the site has received images of the Galaxy S3 Mini in the new hues, courtesy an anonymous tipster.
"As SamMobile reported 19 November 2012 that there would be more colors for the Galaxy S III Mini. Today we received a tip in our mailbox with the pictures of the specific colors we talked about. The new colors for the Galaxy S III mini are: Titan Gray, Garnet Red and Onyx Black," noted the SamMobile report.
Currently, the Galaxy S3 Mini is available in two hues - Marble White and Pebble Blue - and thanks to SamMobile, we now get a sneak peek at the smartphone donning three new colors. The bigger brother Galaxy S3 already sports these hues, and it seems unlikely that the Galaxy S3 Mini will get the brown color like the Galaxy Note 2.
The Galaxy S3 Mini was released in Novomber 2012 and sports a 4-inch Super AMOLED display with a 800 x 480 pixels resolution. It also packs in a 1GHz dual-core processor, a 5-megapixel primary camera, and Android 4.1 Jelly Bean.
However, the Galaxy S3 Mini hasn't been able to replicate the Galaxy S3's success story as Samsung would have hoped. Perhaps, which is why the Korean company is aiming to release the phone in new colors, so as to attract potential buyers.
Samsung, however, is yet to officially confirm that the Galaxy S3 Mini will sport the Titan Gray, Onyx Black, and Garnet Red colors. With the leaked renders doing the rounds, can the release date be far away?
Which is your favorite Galaxy S3 Mini color? Do you think smartphones should stick to the traditional black and white hues and not experiment too much?
