Fans of the Nokia Lumia 920 in Canada can finally add some color to the vanilla life as carrier Rogers has announced that it will be releasing the smartphone in three new colors. Rogers will soon offer the Lumia 920 in red, white, and yellow in the "coming weeks," a departure from the staid black offering that was available on the carrier so far.
Rogers holds the distinction of being the first carrier in the world to offer the WP8-powered Lumia 920 post release. However, at the time, Rogers only offered the phone in black, much to the disappointment of Nokia fans.
However, all that is set to change as Rogers has confirmed that it will retail the Lumia 920 in three new color variants.
"We're excited to announce that we'll be offering the Nokia Lumia 920 in red, white and yellow. These devices will be available in Rogers stores in the coming weeks and are also available on the Rogers Reservation System now for existing customers to reserve," announced Rogers.
Those interested in picking up a colorful Lumia 920 can register via the Rogers Reservation System, but will need to give a $40 deposit upfront. The white, red, and yellow Lumia 920 cost the same as the black version i.e. $99.99 on a 3-year contract or $599.99 on a monthly plan.
Additionally, Rogers has also announced a contest to thank customers for their patience. The carrier is giving "you a chance to win one of the new colourful Nokia Lumia 920 devices, including a red, white and yellow device."
In order to enter the contest, participants simply need to share which color they are most excited about and what they are looking forward to in the Lumia 920. The contest closes on Jan. 31 and three winners will be selected randomly post the deadline.
