Nokia is trying every trick in the book to draw consumers'attention to its Lumia 920 smartphone. After launching the "It's Time to Switch" campaign recently, the Finnish company has yet again taken the video route, this time pitting the Lumia 920 against the best-selling Galaxy S3 in a durability test.

The new Nokia U.S. YouTube video attempts to highlight the Lumia 920's sturdiness and durability, when compared to other smartphones in the same league.

The new Nokia video is a treat for all sports fans as it has a pitching machine challenge theme at its heart.

 "What would happen if you threw a fastball at a Nokia Lumia 920 and a Samsung Galaxy SIII? We decided to find out," says Nokia U.S.

The YouTube video shows the two smartphones strapped up and ready to face a fastball from a pitching machine. The Galaxy S3 was the first to face the music and the Samsung phone didn't fare too well. The phone's screen was shattered and the case fell open. After being put back together it wouldn't even switch on.

By contrast, the Lumia 920 survived with ease and there wasn't even a scratch on the handset. The screen survived the impact, there was no damage to the casing, and the video continued recording even after being knocked off the stand!

The Lumia 920 was the clear winner, without a shadow of a doubt.

Nokia's video is a clever marketing ploy to cajole Android fans into switching to its offering.
