The official ASUS Nexus 7 dock seemed like it was a mythical accessory. It was announced in July alongside the Nexus 7 and has been put up for pre-order on a few sites with expected shipping dates to only come and go with no dock in sight. If you've been holding on to the wish of actually getting one of these docks it appears that they're in stock and available for purchase. You read that right, purchase! B&H is currently listing the ASUS Dock for Nexus 7 as in stock and ready to ship for $39.99. It is also offering reasonable shipping options in case you need to have the dock as soon as possible.

The dock features a landscape solution for charging and displaying your Nexus 7 using the built-in pogo pins found on the Nexus 7 tablet. The dock is angled for optimum viewing of movies, photos, webpages, and email. It features a standard 3.5mm port for speakers or headphones, a microUSB port which makes charging easy while using the tablet, and has a polished glass exterior and rubberized interior exclusively customized for the Nexus 7. The dock measures 8.6 x 2.6 x 1.2 inch (219.1 x 65.1 x 30.3 mm) and weighs 9.9 ounces (280 grams).
The dock has seen numerous delays in expected availability. ASUS' own UK site posted the dock for sale a few days ago and saw its stock depleted very quickly and now lists the dock as out of stock. B&H has listed expected availability dates in the past and those dates have come and gone with no shipment of the ASUS Nexus 7 dock. In a turn of events, however, B&H is finally listing the Nexus 7 dock in stock and available for purchase now. If you want one, go grab it here.
