The rumor mill continues to gather pace as RIM's BlackBerry 10 event for end-January nears. The latest leak doing the rounds suggests that U.S. carrier Verizon will offer the BlackBerry Z10 smartphone in black and a yet-to-be-seen white color.
Rumors have been rife for sometime that the BlackBerry Z10 will come in black and white variants. Now, the leaked image courtesy well-known tipster "@evleaks" points to a white version as well.
However, the BlackBerry Z10 image posted by @evleaks on Twitter shows the back of a white and the front of a black BlackBerry Z10 smartphone. Whether the image on the promo sheet is of two separate devices or of the same device with a black front and white rear is unclear at this juncture.
The image also shows Verizon's site (the page doesn't look like it's live yet) and what seems like landing page where one would be able to pre-order the BlackBerry Z10.
The BlackBerry Z10 has been in the news for sometime now, and the latest leak would confirm that the smartphone will indeed go by the Z10 name.
RIM's event is scheduled for Jan. 30, where the Canadian company is expected to unveil its latest BB10 OS, as well as new smartphones running on the platform. Rumors have suggested that the BlackBerry Z10 will be released soon after the launch, possibly Feb. 28.
With U.S. carriers AT&T, Verizon, Sprint and T-Mobile all set to carry the device, we'll soon know if the white version is a Verizon exclusive or makes its appearance on all carriers as well.
