The king of phablets, Samsung Galaxy Note 2, has been one of the most popular devices since its arrival in September last year. The smartphone's popularity does not seem to be waning and in fact, may increase further, as online retailer Amazon is offering the Verizon version of the Galaxy Note 2 for $199.99 on a two-year contract.
The top-end Galaxy Note 2 is undoubtedly one of the most powerful smartphones available in the market. However, the top-of-the-line features of the device come at a price that is not affordable by everyone. U.S. carriers AT&T, Sprint, and Verizon sell the Galaxy Note 2 for $299.99, and T-Mobile offers the handset at a whopping $369.99 on a two-year contract.
Simply because of high demand and popularity of the smartphone, the price has not been reduced by the carriers. However, Amazon is now offering the 16GB Verizon version of Galaxy Note 2 for $199.99 on a two-year contract or eligible upgrade, making it a bit more affordable for potential customers. Additionally, the phablet is available in both Marble White and Titanium Gray colors.
The presence of a stylus, the S Pen, makes the phablet one of a kind in its category as currently no other phablet is equipped with a stylus.
The 5.5-inch smartphone houses high-end hardware and the Multi-Window View feature on the device makes it more desirable. The Multi-Window View feature allows Samsung's phablet to act similarly to a tablet when it comes to bringing multitasking to the small screen. As the Galaxy Note 2 features a quad-core processor, the Multi-Window feature is smooth and the transitions are seamless. The Multi-Window View is one of the features of the Galaxy Note 2 which makes the phablet stand out from the crowd.
Amazon has not revealed if the $199 offer is for a limited period, but if you are planning to buy a Galaxy Note 2 then you should not miss the $199.99 deal from Amazon. Additionally, Wirefly also has the Verizon variant of the Galaxy Note 2 up for grabs for $199.99; however, the smartphone is not available in white but only in gray.
