The Nokia Lumia 620 is already available in China, and now it seems this low cost Windows Phone 8 device is preparing to make its presence felt in the UK, come January 31.
Popular online retailer, Expansys, reported to TechRadar that it had news from an official Nokia supplier of the device availability come Thursday, January 31. It is not yet certain how accurate this information is. However, there should be some form of truth to it since it is coming from an official Nokia supplier who would definitely have information on the release date of upcoming mobile phones.
"The spokesperson for the website was quick to note that the date had not been finalised and during the launch event it sounded like Europe would have to wait until at least February for the handset to land on shelves," TechRadar said.
While the UK is preparing to be devoured by the Lumia 620, it seems the rest of Europe will have to wait until February. It could be that Nokia is facing supply shortages with the Lumia 620. If that is the case, it would be truly unfortunate since such a low cost device running Windows Phone 8 could prove crucial for the company's success.
Currently, Expansys is selling the Nokia Lumia 620 for £230, quite expensive compared to the likes of Unlocked Mobiles who is selling the handset for a cool £175 SIM-free. While Expansys is more popular among online buyers, Unlocked Mobile is just as reliable. So if you want to save some cash, you might want to ignore Expansys this time around.
