With barely a month to go before Samsung unleashes its impending Galaxy Note 8.0 tablet onto the world, the rumor mill has gone into an overdrive. The latest leak shows the Galaxy Note 8.0 tablet (with the S Pen stylus in tow) next to the Galaxy Note 2 phablet.
As the leaks and rumors continue to gain traction, at this rate, Samsung would have very few surprises remaining by the time the official MWC 2013 debut dawns upon us in February.
The latest images are courtesy of FrAndroid, a French tech blog, and give us a glimpse of the S Pen stylus. One of the images shows the Galaxy Note 8.0 and Galaxy Note 2 side-by-side, giving us a glimpse into the tablet's size and form factor, when compared to the 5.5-inch phablet.
A closer inspection of the images reveals that physically, the Galaxy Note 8.0 tablet bears a strong resemblance to the Galaxy S3 and Galaxy Note 2 smartphones. Not just the rounded edges and glazed plastic, but also the physical keys. The images suggest that the on-screen buttons that took up plenty of screen space have been omitted in this version of the tablet.
Additionally, the S Pen stylus for the Galaxy Note 8.0 seems similar to the one that comes with the Galaxy Note 10.1 tablet.
Rumor has it that the Galaxy Note 8.0 tablet will be 3G-enabled and will sport an 8-inch LCD display (1280 x 800 pixels resolution), a 1.6GHz quad-core processor, 2GB of RAM, 5-megapixel primary camera, 1.3-megapixel secondary camera, 4600mAh battery, and Android 4.2 Jelly Bean out of the box.
The Galaxy Note 8.0 tablet will be unveiled at the MWC 2013.
