Samsung Galaxy S3, which released in May last year, was undisputedly one of the most popular Android smartphones of 2012. Now, you can grab the Sprint version of the smartphone for under a buck via Amazon Wireless.
Amazon Wireless has recently been in news for offering the Samsung Galaxy Note 2 at discounted price for various U.S. carriers. Now the retailer is selling the 16GB Sprint version of the Galaxy S3, both Marble White and Pebble Blue, for $0.01 on a new two-year contract. Eligible upgrades will have to splash $119.99.
The best-selling 4.8-inch Galaxy S3 packs in high-end features and as such is also priced steeply when compared to other Android-powered smartphones. U.S. carriers Sprint, Verizon, and AT&T are selling the handset for $199.99, whereas T-Mobile offers it for $279.99 on a two-year contract.
The price of the handset could be a key reason for many potential customers to not buy the handset. However, the handset is now priced for under a buck and will potentially attract many more customers looking to buy a top-end phone.
The rumors of the upcoming Galaxy S4 may be a factor for the decline in popularity, if any, of the Galaxy S3. However, the Galaxy S3 will be popular till the speculated launch of the Galaxy S4 happens in March this year.
Amazon Wireless does not indicate if the offer is valid for a limited time, but if you are looking for a brand new Galaxy S3 then the Sprint $0.01 deal is not to be missed.
