Users of Apple devices are eagerly waiting for the 'magical tool' which can allow them to experience exciting applications available in Cydia store.
Evasi0n, the untethered jailbreak for devices running on iOS 6.1 is almost ready with its Web site showing the progress at 98%. However, as the jailbreak nears its completion and the release, Apple users running their devices on iOS 6 are in dilemma.
With the release of iOS 6.1, reports of many issues related to the latest iOS update started cropping up from every corner of the tech world. Battery drain and Wi-Fi connectivity issues are the majorly reported issues of iOS 6.1.
Now, as the latest untethered jailbreak is based on iOS 6.x, people who are running their devices on iOS 6 and do not want to shift to iOS 6.1 will have to make a choice between the jailbreak and battery life.
At the same time, people who have updated their devices to iOS 6.1 over the air update (OTA) may face some difficulties in jailbreaking. Though it is not impossible to jailbreak the devices update over the air, but jailbreakers and other tech guru's recommend a fresh and clean iOS 6.1 update via iTunes to avoid complications.
There are some more small but very important points you should remember before you go ahead with the latest untethered jailbreak.
First of all, it is necessary that your device is an Evasi0n supported devices. The latest jailbreak can be run in iPhone 5, iPhone 4S, iPhone 4, iPhone 3GS, iPod Touch 5G, iPod Touch 4G, iPad 4, iPad 3, iPad 2, iPad mini, and Apple TV 2G.
Evasi0n will not be supported in iPhone 2G, iPhone 3G, first- through third-generation iPod Touch, first-generation iPad, and third-generation Apple TV.
Before downloading Evasi0n to your computer check the OS your system is running on. For Windows users the minimum requirement is Windows XP or later, where as for Mac users it is Mac OS X 10.5 minimum. For Linux users it should be x86 or x86-64.
One thing should always be kept in mind that jailbreaking your device can void your Apple warranty. In case you want to keep your warranty safe, stay away from Evasi0n until the warranty expires.
Last point but not the least one as it is related to money. Authentic jailbreakers never charge for downloading jailbreaks. So stay away from fake jailbreaks and fraudsters who charge somewhere $25 for jailbreak.
