Android fans could be in for a welcome surprise in days to come as reports suggest that Google will roll out Android 4.2.2 Jelly Bean update for the Galaxy Nexus, Nexus 4, Nexus 7, and the Nexus 10 in mid-February.
According to an IBTimes report, Google insiders have let on that employees with the above-mentioned devices are currently testing out the Android 4.2.2 update.
"According to our inside sources at the company, who asked not to be named, Google employees with Nexus devices, including the Nexus 4, Nexus 7 and the Nexus 10, as well as the Samsung Galaxy Nexus, all have an opportunity to test out Android 4.2.2. They've been using their mobile devices normally, including trying out popular apps, but no one has really found any major changes to the user experience," reported IBTimes..
The image shared by IBTimes shows the Galaxy Nexus running Android 4.2.2, adding to the impending release conjectures. A few weeks ago, a video and leaked shots of the Nexus 4 running the Android 4.2.2 update had surfaced online, fueling speculations that the software upgrade was on its way..
This update is expected to be the last bug fix before Google allegedly pushes out the Android 5.0 Key Lime Pie OS at the Google I/O in May.
The report does not divulge what the software update will bring, except that several bug fixes pertaining to Bluetooth streaming and performance enhancements are expected.
With the Android 4.2.2 Jelly Bean update slated to roll out by mid-February, can Key Lime Pie be far away?
