Nokia is set to unleash a new line-up of Windows Phone 8 powered devices at the upcoming MWC 2013, if leaks and rumors are to be believed. Close on the heels of the news that Nokia will launch a smartphone with a 41-megapixel camera, possibly called Lumia 1000 or Lumia EOS, is yet another rumor which points to two new smartphones - Lumia 720 and Lumia 520.
The two impending devices recently passed certification from the Indonesian equivalent of the FCC, Directorate Post & Telecommunication Indonesia, on Feb. 6. The Lumia 720 (RM-885) and Lumia 520 (RM-914) are believed to be the successors of the Lumia 710 and Lumia 510, respectively.
According to a Nokianesia blog report, the Finnish company will announce the two new WP8-powered smartphones soon, possibly at the upcoming Nokia press conference at the MWC on Feb. 25
"Good News from Indonesia. Nokia will announce (someday or maybe at MWC 2013) the 2 brand New Nokia Lumia 720 (RM-885) and Nokia Lumia 520 (RM-914)," reported Nokianesia blog.
The Lumia 520 or Zeal is expected to be the entry-level handset, whereas the Lumia 520 or Fame will be the mid-range offering.
Additionally, MyNokiaBlog got a tip off from an anonymous source regarding the impending smartphones' specs.
"The Lumia 720 codenamed Zeal and Lumia 520 codenamed Fame is definitely a confirmed WP 8 devices," reported.
According to the tipster, the Lumia 720 will feature a 4.3-inch CBD display, a 1GHz dual-core processor, 8GB of on-board memory, 512MB of RAM, a 6-megapixel primary camera, and a 2-megapixel secondary snapper.
The Lumia 520 will allegedly have 4-inch Super Sensitive screen, a 1GHz dual-core processor, 512MB of RAM, 8GB storage, a 5-megapixel rear-facing camera, and no front camera.
Both the phones will run on the Windows Phone 8 OS.
Come Feb. 25, we will soon know if Nokia is indeed adding new devices to its Lumia portfolio of WP8 handsets.
