Apple, which has been facing so many issues, related to its mobile operating system iOS, now seems to be concentrating on fixing the issues.
However, the official statements from Apple are coming out only if others companies like Vodafone or Microsoft asked their customers to stay away from the latest iOS update.
Apple updated its support page promising the users of iOS 6.1, who are facing syncing issues with Microsoft Exchange Server 2010, a fix of the bug in the upcoming iOS update.
In the statement, the Cupertino-based company posted, "Apple has identified a fix and will make it available in an upcoming software update. In the meantime, you can avoid this bug by not responding to an exception to a recurring event on your iOS device. If you do experience the symptoms described above, disable then reenable the Exchange calendar on your iOS device using the steps below.
1. Go to Settings > Mail, Contacts, Calendars
2. Select the Exchange account from your Accounts list.
3. Turn the switch for Calendars to OFF.
4. Wait ten seconds.
5. Turn the switch for Calendars back to ON."
As Apple confirms the release of an update to iOS 6.1, iPhone 5 owners can also hope that in the new update Apple solves their problems also.
Owners of iPhone 5 have been battling with 3G connectivity and battery drain issues, but so far Apple has neither released any fix for their problems nor issued any official statement regarding these bugs.
Owners of iPhone 4S too had the same problems and Apple fixed these bugs in iOS 6.1.1 that was released exclusively for iPhone 4S.
May be because no carrier has issued any advisory related to iPhone 5 issues to their customers, Apple has not taken the issues seriously.
Vodaphone UK and 3 Austria had warned their subscribers against updating iPhone 4S on iOS 6.1 last week.
Though Apple has addressed the Microsoft Exchange Server issue on its support page and promised an early update of iOS, it has not revealed the date and timeframe of the update.
We hope that the latest update (iOS 6.1.1) not only fixes Exchange Server bug, but also the battery drain and 3G bugs.
