While Samsung is mostly in news for the upcoming Galaxy S4 and Note 3, another alleged device said to arrive alongside and known as the Galaxy S4 Mini has now garnered a bit more information.
Per reports, a brand new rumor regarding the Galaxy S4 that has come up only recently states that the device will make an appearance in May this year. The S4 Mini is also said to be a part of Samsung's Project J.
Although a certain date is yet to be revealed, the report claims that Samsung has already set a deadline for as to when Project J Mini's various cover accessories must be made ready for public, and the timeframe that has been set for this is week 21 of 2013.
Now, week 21 of 2013 means from May 20 to May 26, and assuming from the fact that the deadline has already been handed down by Samsung noting that the phone can also arrive with the accessories ready, it's may not be that tough to say that that the Galaxy S4 Mini will go up for sale right around that time.
Project J, as the report suggests, isn't just one device, but "also Samsung's Project J Mini code named Serrano and Project J Active code named Fortius. Today new information told us Project J Mini and their accessories like a Clear Cover, a Flip Cover and a Protective Cover need to be done by week 21."
Last year, Samsung launched a Galaxy S3 Mini after the launch of the Galaxy S3, and so it would not be a big surprise if the company were to do the same thing with the Galaxy S4.
However, there is still a bit of darkness as far as the S4 Mini's specifications and features are concerned, and nobody knows anything as what the smaller iteration of S4 will offer once it becomes official.
The Galaxy S4 itself, on the other hand, is rumored to be arriving at a launch event in March, with release dates stating an April and May or June arrival in the United States.
With the rumored timing of the Galaxy S4 Mini arrival already doing heavy rounds all over the Internet, it could be that Samsung decides to announce it alongside the larger device in the weeks ahead.
