T-Mobile is trying to tempt new customers to join its network by offering Google's latest flagship smartphone, the Nexus 4 16GB for only $49.99 with a new two-year contract. The limited-time offer expires Monday, Feb. 18, so if you've been thinking about purchasing a Nexus 4 for a very low price you'll need to head over to T-Mobile's site to place your order before the end of the day.
The Nexus 4 features a 4.7-inch WXGA (1280 x 769) True HD screen, Android 4.2 Jelly Bean, quad-core 1.5 GHz processor, 16GB internal storage, 2GB of RAM, 8-megapixel rear camera with LED Flash, 1.3-megapixel front camera, Wi-Fi, HSPA+ radio, Bluetooth, NFC and a 2,100 mAh battery. The Nexus 4 also supports wireless charging out of the box.
T-Mobile usually charges $199.99 with a new two-year contract for the Nexus 4, so getting it for $49.99 is a huge savings. T-Mobile is also offering free shipping on the Nexus 4 to sweeten the deal. Google has only partnered with T-Mobile in the U.S., allowing it to be the sole carrier sellingGoogle's latest flagship Android smartphone.
The Nexus 4 is one of the most popular smartphones on the market. Google continues to see the smartphone sell out quickly whenever it replenishes stock of the device and posts availability for both models in its Google Play Store. Google sells the Nexus 4 unlocked and offers a 8GB version for $299 and 16GB for $349.
In choosing a Nexus smartphone over other Android smartphones, consider the perks. The smartphone always ships with Google's latest version of Android. It's a stock version of Android with none of the "bloat-ware" manufacturers and carriers like to add to the smartphone. One of the best reasons to choose a Nexus smartphone is that you are guaranteed to receive the latest version of Android when Google releases it. All Nexus smartphones and tablets receive OTA (over the air) updates directly from Google without having to wait for your carrier to push out the update.
