This is not an April fool's joke: the Nokia Lumia 720 and the Lumia 529 are indeed going on sale in the UK via Clove on April 1. These devices are very well priced and should be able to spread Windows Phone's reach to a broader demography.
The Nokia Lumia 720 is a mid-range Windows Phone 8 device with some features of a high-end product. The handset is the thinner than the Lumia 520 at 9mm thick with interchangeable covers, which also supports wireless charging. The screen size on this bad boy is a cool 4.3 inches with a resolution of 480x800, it also packs a 1GHz dual core processor, so things should be relatively fast.
When it comes down to the camera, the 720 is rocking a 6.7 megapixel sharpshooter with f/1.9 aperture, which is considered as the widest aperture on any smartphone to date. This should allow the camera to perform reasonably in low-light conditions, however, one must not expect it to stand toe-to-toe with the Lumia 920. Pricing is set at €250, that's around $350 off contract.
Next up, we have the Lumia 520, dubbed as the most affordable Windows Phone 7 device yet. It's thicker than the Lumia 720, doesn't look that sexy and comes with a 5-megapixel camera. The screen size here is 4-inches, there's a 1GHZ dual core processor inside and the set price point is around €140, approximately $180.
